Finding a Way Forward
June 2: Gala Event. The Path We Make: A Culinary Benefit. Cowboy Bear Ninja honored with Trailblazer award. Tickets and support options at https://e.givesmart.com/events/MT2/
At the beginning of 2025, Cowboy Bear Ninja committed to harnessing its resources, network and storytelling abilities in the service of combating unjust policies brought about by the current administration. We’re calling this initiative “CBN’s Powers for Good.”
We put out a call-to-action across social media seeking non-profit organizations who needed storytelling support as well as creative and production services.
This yielded an introduction to the amazing team at Safe Passage Project, a New York City based non-profit offering free legal aid to young people navigating the immigration process.
It also led us to Abdul, Claudia, Giancarlo and Oliver; four incredibly brave, thoughtful and hardworking recipients of SPP’s legal services. They agreed to sit down with us and share their stories on camera.
The result was a series of intimate documentary portraits shining a light on their individual journeys to America; the challenges they faced; and the incredible work of Safe Passage Project.
